As a Sr Distribution Data BI Consultant, you will partner closely with sales and marketing leadership within Principal Global Investors US Wealth Advisor Solutions team.  We are looking for a leader who can create actionable plans through analysis of complex data. 

Some additional responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:

  • Identifying Competitive Analysis for Asset Retention and Sales
  • Key Reports for our Wealth Advisory Solutions team
  • Use data to influence new approaches in the market working with Financial Advisors


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • 6+ years of related work experience. 
  • Advanced knowledge of company business unit products, distribution (sales), customers, and investment knowledge.
  • Strong ability to influence, including presentation, negotiation, and leadership skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication. 
  • Ability to address needs and potentially competing priorities from multiple customers. 
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, math, and statistical skills and demonstrates the ability to identify and resolve complex problems.
  • Ability to understand the importance of definitive data and the ability to persist in ensuring the appropriate source.
  • Must be accurate and pay strong attention to detail. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.



This position may be located in Des Moines, IA or Folsom, CA.
